The machine reaches a maximum speed of 900 stitches per minute. You can reduce speed with the one-touch slow button when you approach bulky seam crossings or need more control.

The Happy Box Feed system moves fabric with a horizontal feed-dog action. This lets the feed dogs grip the fabric longer, helping you guide thin, stretchy, or thick materials without too much slipping.

Operation, Convenience, and Safety Features

You select stitch patterns and settings on the colour LCD touchscreen. The screen lets you easily choose from the machine’s 476 stitch patterns, including utility, decorative, and lettering stitches.

The EXP-9300 has computerised thread tension, which adjusts tension based on the selected pattern. You may still need to test stitches on scrap fabric, especially when using unusual thread or several fabric layers.

For upper-thread setup, the numbered threading path works regardless of needle position. The one-step needle threader supports household needles in sizes 11 through 16.

Bobbin setup also avoids extra steps. Insert the bobbin, follow the marked guide, and begin sewing without bringing the bobbin thread to the top first. When winding a bobbin, the winding motor stops automatically once it fills.

You control sewing speed with the foot controller or the machine controls. A one-touch slow button lowers speed quickly, which helps when you approach corners, seams, or thick areas.

Use the needle up/down button to set the needle position for pivoting fabric or making single stitches. The lock button disables operation while you change the needle or presser foot, reducing the risk of accidental starts.
